Daniel KagramanovSoftware + embedded engineering

A little software.
A little hardware.
A lot of curiosity.

I build across the stack—from the interfaces you click to the systems underneath. CS & Engineering graduate from UC Davis, based in Goleta, California.

MRISEGMENTPLAN

Sponsored by UC Davis Health

Making surgical
planning simpler.

A platform that automates stereo-EEG surgical planning, reducing clinician preparation time by 4×.

Next.jsFastAPIPythonMedical imaging
Inside the project

I developed file-conversion, input-validation, and pipeline-execution algorithms, built a Next.js interface around clinician needs, and integrated imaging software for MRI segmentation, vessel analysis, and trajectory generation.

TI CC3200 / Connected device

A speedcube timer.
Built from the pins up.

A real-time timer bringing touch input, an OLED display, and cloud connectivity onto one embedded platform.

CCC3200AWS IoTSPI / I2C
Inside the project

I integrated touch sensors, OLED rendering, and a rotary encoder on the TI CC3200, combining I2C, SPI, GPIO, Wi-Fi, and AWS IoT for connected and standalone operation.

The timer above is an illustrative visual, not a live device feed.

03 / NetworkingPackets to protocols

Low-level networking / Python

Under the hood
of the internet.

A DNS client and TCP proxy built with packet parsing and low-level socket programming.

PythonDNSTCPSockets
Inside the project

I constructed and interpreted DNS packets from scratch to implement parsing and resolution, then integrated a TCP proxy using low-level sockets.

Operating systems / Storage

A place for
every byte.

A FAT-based file system with persistent block allocation and the fundamentals of file management.

CFATStorage allocation
Inside the project

I implemented file creation, deletion, reading, and writing, plus directory management, FAT traversal, and persistent storage allocation.

More code, experiments, and works in progress on GitHub.

02 / A bit about me

Comfortable
between worlds.

I’m Daniel, a Computer Science and Engineering graduate who enjoys working where software meets the physical world. My work spans responsive websites, medical-imaging workflows, embedded firmware, and core systems.

I like understanding how the pieces fit together—and turning that understanding into something useful.

The journey so far

Jun — Aug 2026 · Barcelona, Spain

CE Intern

Draco Systems

Built and validated a wearable prototype integrating BLE, IMU sensing, and power. Encoded turn and angulation metrics in a single BLE advertisement and proposed PCB components to reduce the BOM by €1,000 per 100 units.

Jan — Jun 2026 · UC Davis

Software Developer

#include Davis

Developed the UC Davis Linguistics Club website, translating Figma designs into responsive Next.js and React interfaces for events, resources, and club information.
